As is the case with many of the smaller communities within the Greater Toronto Area, Newmarket is often mislabelled as a bedroom community of the metropolis. While it is true that many of the city's 75,000 residents do make the 40 kilometre commute to work, Newmarket itself offers a more diverse economy within city limits than could not be said of a true bedroom community. New businesses and corporations are always moving in to the area and are offering various types of careers to residents such as project management software evaluation.
As is the case with many of the cities in the Greater Toronto Area, and the Golden Horseshoe in particular, Newmarket has a strong presence within the industrial sector. Newmarket's appeal to those looking for midland Ontario real estate partly rests on the strength of that industrial sector. The solid labour force and the access to the major cities and shipping routes within the Golden Horseshoe allow over one hundred industrial operations to survive within the city.
Don't be misled by the strong presence of industry, however. Newmarket is also a very nice place to live for those who love their green space. In fact, with the exception of the cottage country along the Trent Severn Waterway, one could say that Newmarket has more commitment to waterfront than any other central Ontario community. Evidence of this lies in the many streams, creeks, and one river that flow through the city and along its borders. There are also two manmade lakes, which are utilized heavily for recreational purposes all year long.
Those who love the outdoors will find that Newmarket allows several other appealing activities as well. As part of the Oak Ridges Moraine preservation, vast expanses around Newmarket have been kept in pristine condition. These areas allow multiple opportunities for those looking to hike, jog, photograph the great outdoors, and dozens of other outdoor recreational pursuits. So you can throw on your iPod with R&B hip hop music and take a jog threw some of the most beautiful parkland in the area.
Many of the couples moving from condos downtown Toronto are ready to move out of the concrete jungle into a suburban community like Newmarket. Many decide to make the move out of the city when they are ready to raise their family. Newmarket is a wonderful community in which to raise children and boasts a number of good schools. When the parents have bought their new home and ready to start work again they may need to find a caregiver for their children. Parents can start their search by looking at a nanny agency Toronto
Finally, the fact that Newmarket is one of Canada's wealthier cities means that there is a nice diversity of recreational opportunities indoors as well. Many of the nation's most popular stores have an operation within the city, as well as the other entertainment options a town this size affords its residents. There are many who own nearby real estate like Erin Mills real estate for example who are deciding to sell and move to Newmarket.
Laws protecting green space have led many to project that living in Newmarket will take on a different meaning over the next decade. While single-detached dwellings are still the norm now, it is likely that the city will see a rise in the number of condo complexes during the next few years. Condo living could well take off here in the same way as in the larger cities to the south and east.
